We are proud to announce that "Astro Lords: Oort Cloud" has been nominated for Selected Projects competition, "Online" category, during Game Connection Europe conference in Paris!
Astro Lords is a sci-fi MMORTS combining such game activities as building, attacking asteroids, arcade-style fighting, researching, exploring, robbing and spying in a hypothetical world of the Oort Cloud. The game has been developed using Unity 3D engine, which allows the game to be put on various platforms; primarily, Web (PC), iOS and Android.
The Judging Committee of Game Connection faced a wide variety of Consoles, PC, Mobile and Social Network games, coming from more than 35 countries. The game of Astro Lords was picked from almost two hundred games sent to the competition. This means we are moving in the right direction, and our game matches current trends by really fabulous Judging Committee.
The IGDA also supported the Selected Projects program by helping spread the buzz around the world.
We were quite surpised to receive personal congratulations for being nominated for Selected Projects from Eric Lacroix, who visited us during Casual Connect conference in Kyiv last week. Eric is a wonderful and inspiring person, and we are looking forward to present the game of Astro Lords in Paris!
Game Connection Europe is the biggest European conference in the game industry. Since 2001, Game Connection has been a place to be for video game professionals. Three times a year, in Europe, in the US and in Asia, key industry players gather to meet, do business together, connect with new prospects and socialize in a dynamic environment.
Game Connection Europe 2013 will be held in the City of Lights known as Paris, on December 3-5, 2013. The event will be located at Les Docks de Paris, 32 Rue Proudhon, 93210 La Plaine Saint Denis.
Selected Projects conference is set to start the event on Tuesday, December 3rd, from 10 am to 11h50 am.
The winners are going to receive their awards on Thursday, December 5th, and we hope Astro Lords will be among them!
